False Profit presents : Priceless : July 4-6, 2008

Priceless
July 4-6, 2008
priceless.false-profit.com/

Bold corporate strategies have always defined False Profit, LLC, and this summer promises more of the same.

Beginning on July 4th, 2008, in Belden Town, CA, False Profit, LLC will simultaneously leverage all four of the classic elements—Fire, Water, Earth, and Air—for its investors in a move that can only be called PRICELESS.

The Sound System will leverage Air for bass transmissions to shareholders who—if current Bass Index trends hold—will respond with frenzied activity upon Earth. The Hydrogen Economy, a project of False Profit Labs, will employ Fire to burst market bubbles and investors will earn Relax Credits in the Water of the Feather River.

Shareholders still enjoying dividends gained from past PRICELESS campouts are already clamoring for this year’s shares.

In addition to capitalizing on Water, Fire, Earth and Air, False Profit, LLC will also embark on an highly-ambitious Life Quality Assurance audit to leverage the oft-neglected, but equally important, fifth element: Independence.

This will be a challenge, even for False Profit’s state-of-the-art Element Diagnostic Machines.

Market analysts estimate that damage done to Independence by corporate and government malfeasance will require at minimum several decades of auditing before it can be repaired and fully leveraged by all potential investors.

False Profit, LLC, committed to long-term growth strategies and Independence futures, is beginning the audit immediately, enjoining its corporate partners to do the same.

Already, Life Quality audit at False Profit, LLC expect to recover an additional day of Independence from the weekend for its U.S. investors.

Following the Joy Market Hypothesis, False Profit analysts predict this extra day will be reinvested in PRICELESS resulting in massive Quality of Life gains for all shareholders.

**Tickets on sale**

There are some things money can buy.
For everything else, there’s False Profit.

Priceless :: False Profit and DownLow Campout :: July 20-22nd

Vegan, organic, wheat-free, macrobiotic, biodynamic raw cookie: $12
Therm-A-Rest - just in case you decide to take a nap: $169
Fashionably tribal yet functional new swimwear: $73

Partying wetter, madder and with even more merit than last summer...PRICELESS.

There are some things money CAN buy
For everything else there is False Profit and DownLow.

+++ PRICELESS +++
A Collaborative Campout from False Profit and DownLow
July 20-22, 2007

http://priceless.false-profit.com/

With the Dow cracking 13,000 and today’s announcement that PRICELESS tickets will go on sale Sunday at the Howeird Street Faire, investors should take note of extremely exuberant market conditions.

PRICELESS, the False Profit and DownLow campout, is sure to turn heads by bucking the trend of rising stock prices in the campout industry that began earlier this quarter. Instead, False Profit and Downlow will maintain their standard low-cost ticket prices without compromising the brand-name guarantee of cutting edge music, activities, art, and (of course) beach parties. All this, while raising funds to support expanded investment in Burning Man art projects. Truly, this is the sign of a promising summer.

Once again, PRICELESS will be located at a beautiful campground tucked into the Feather River valley in the Sierras in Northern California, 3 hours north of San Francisco. Natural features include running water, fire rings, a river for swimming and tubing, hiking trails, and 30,000 watts of sound.

Tickets go on sale beginning this Sunday May 6th at the Howeird Street Faire, Miranda Caroligne's shop (cash only) and online.

Tickets prices are $50 and $70. Please pay what you can, leaving lower cost tickets for those who need them. There are only 350 tickets available due to limited capacity of the venue, so purchase yours ASAP.

Please note that there will be a $25 parking fee for all vehicles, to strongly encourage carpooling and the use of mass transportation options. We are committed to minimizing the ecological footprint of Priceless -- 100% of the revenue from parking fees will be invested in reducing the amount of waste and pollution generated by Priceless.

"The Gift of the Turbi", a (post) holiday classic

There was a man, a young man of good heart and character, and he had a bus that he loved. The bus was the shiny yellow and black apple of his eye, and their love was complete. He veritably lived inside of her, caressing her ample bumpers and buying her all manners of distilled waters and fancy spray paints.

And she loved him too; she loved him as strongly as a bus could love a man, that tall (10 feet) long legged (35 feet) 19,000 lb lady from Hayward, and things were good.

She was a comely bus, old fashioned values and smog, and was blessed by the lord with the gift of turbo, a lovely tress of curly cast iron that adorned her intake manifiold like a jewel in a Princess' tiara. It was their pride and her joy.

And the man also possessed one thing of great sentimental and personal value: a classic turbo boost sphygomometer given to him by his grandfather, a toxic filled graduated glass and brass mercury tube of wonderful complexity that he would lovingly plumb into his beloved when he wanted to see her smile. On sundays they would go to the park and he would gently lift her covers one by one, and there they would sit, whiling away the hours in the joy that only lovers share.

The couple was poor, and didn't drink the finest Rotella, nor could afford Michelins on the table except during special occasions. And then one year, the Saint Valentine's Day holiday approached, and they were both left in a quandary, how could this poor bus and man properly show their love on this special occasion?

Finally February 14th arrived, and after a hard day at the yard, the man came home to find his beloved bride sitting, parked near the one ton, behind the trailer, near the stack of pallets where he stored the brake drums and the power steering pumps, with tears/condensation in her headlights, but still shining the most lumenous of glows towards her chosen seat taker. And the man excitedly approached her, cleverly concealing a package from his beloved's low beams.

(break for commercial)

(Scene returns to idyllic backyard full of bus parts and Japanese and American pickups)

"Look my dear" he cried, "I have the finest of gifts for the bus that has been my veritable foundation of transportation for so many wonderful years." And from under his cloak, he produced a box. And there, inside the box was a lovely air heat exchanger from Cummins in Paris, painted beautiful flat black and glowing with a non reflective dullness that shone like the night. (with all necessary connectors and fasteners, and a roll of pink teflon tape)

"Oh my Goodness", she screamed in joy, "how could you ever have brought to me such a precious and costly gift my love?" She began to sigh, and with tears now welling up in her turn signals, she said "We are but a poor couple, rich in maintenance but with a limited parts budget..."

"Well" he replied, "my love for you springs internal, just like your fuel lines, and I confess I sold the turbo boost gage to get the lovely part. but it is OK, we can do it by ear my sweet, love can conquer any vaccuum problem."

And then he spotted a splendidly wrapped box sitting on the dash. "Is that for me my love?" he asked. "A gift from the bus whose broad hips and leaf spring suspension has seen me thru my longest travels and darkest hours... I can't wait to open it!"

He carefully separated the twine, removed the paper, and gently lifted the lid off the box. And there inside was a 3/16" thru 7/8" SAE and metric adapter set for classic sphygamometers, lovingly hand chromed from Taiwan.

And then tears began to well up in his eyes, as he walked, slowly, to the side (driver's side, door behind the radiator door) of his beloved, and lifted her skirts gently for the thousandth time.

For he knew the truth already........ . . . there in place of her lovely turbo was a simple metal plate, her chestnut colored curl now nothing more than a 5 X 8 piece of aluminum or cast or pot metal or something, (it had paint on it) and her flowing manifolds had been shorn to the scalp.

And as they looked at each other, and felt the love and tender mercies that only a long time committed driver and machine can hold dear, and nurture thru the years,-- there was peace, and then they drove, hand in wheel, down to Flying J for a quiet, intimate fill.

And life was good, and love had flourished and flew and soared for a brief minute on God's Green Earth.

("The Gift of the Turbi", a holiday classic)
available on CD and cassette

Intentional Dance Culture Conference May 18,19 2007 (Vancouver BC)

This is kind of a note from the culture lab of Tribal Harmonix which is planning its first conference Friday May 18 and 19 in Vancouver on the Canadian Victoria Day weekend tentatively being named Intention Convention. The impetus for this was sparked when we heard through the grapevine about a wonderful opportunity for some community building while scouting venues for the 10th annual Earthdance Vancouver and later for our 8th annual Intention Retreat. We chose not to go with this venue but bookmarked it for a potential spring conference. 2007, Year of the Boar is the fertile time and things are beginning to happen in planning this out and i want to sound out a call to my network to see who might be within range of interest and availability for this event which will have a strong local community flavour (since we gots that here) and (i am invoking now..) a strong westcoast and beyond flavour. This will follow on the heels of the 8th annual Faeries & Fools Masquerade on the Sunshine Coast the weekend before (fairiesandfools.org/).

The last and only real intentional dance culture conference that has ever occured of this era has been the Gathering of the Tribes (www.gottribes.org) in Los Angeles which later merged with the Laytonville Earthdance in California and has since gone into hiatus. The Gathering of the Tribes Foundation which was forming had made considerable contacts and alliances to progressive organizations, speakers and allied with the Prophets Conference (www.greatmystery.org/) which brought a lot of spirituality meets science type presenters.

The inclusion of workshops in the context of festivals and events has been a strong tradition in the Lower Mainland BC tribal dance network for the past decade which I've witnessed spread down the coast to many festivals which previously had little of this. It is becoming a potent facilitator of culture crafting and I consider that the conference is a big part of the needed container to separate from the distractions of any given festival to go deep into community building.

This is a test pilot for a possible ongoing conference series that will allow the local community as well as westcoast networks and beyond to link up pre-summer for coming together and looking at where we're at while looking at where we want to be when we're older, when we have families to feed, and the contributions we can make as servant communities onto the whole of creation.

I am approaching the intentional dance culture to provide me with feedback on anything going on that weekend ( i know of the Village Building Convergence in Portland (www.cityrepair.org/ ) and aim to forge some kind of link up ) as well as back up on creating the appropriate homing signal that will bring in the needed catalysts to fine tune the strengths of this cultural movement. Part of that is linking with all resonant visionaries and community animators, to potential speakers and communities within and in proximity to the dance culture who share a knack for utilizing celebration as a tool, and have an aim towards increasing global sustainability, greening festivals, tribal economics, creation or consolidation of guilds ( www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild -excellent reference) to harnass the potential of the cultural creative forces that we collectively wield.

And..yes we are having a celebration as part of the conference. It's going to be something Vancouver area has not seen in a long time. The potential for a massive sized event of 500-800 people going all night with access to a rooftop chillroom. There has not been a venue like this ever before in this region. This is a great gift that is coming to us and is being shared with the networks which align in the one heart nation. Tribal Federation anyone?

Stay tuned for more on this via www.tribalharmonix.org. There will be a website created for the conference.

Howdy folks... I'm going to be in SF for a job on 1/18 (Thursday) and I'd love a friendly place to rest my head the nights of 1/17 & 1/18. That weekend, I can prob jump over to my Bro's house in Oakland, but the weekdays are usually difficult for him so if someone else has space for moi, I'd be much obliged. tania@moontribe.org

I'm a travellin' fool, mostly to the third world. Lotsa time in Central America, the Caribbean, and SE Asia.
I also travel by my buses, I have 27 or them, so if you need a bus, parts, or just advice, just yell

I'm still new to this tribe thing, but I am a nice person, and have the best buses in the world. I use school buses to haul medical and material aid to some of poorest places in the world (Haiti, Chiapas Mexico, El Salvador, and Nicaragua) and buy and sell them, and bus parts to support the project. I take every penny i make and convert it directly back into school supplies, medical supplies, tools, generators, and whatever the folks ask for specifically, (no junk, no used clothing) and then drive it down in person (except Haiti, that's $6000 thru the Panama Canal. Ouch)

I sell buses to folks that are 100% functioning in every way when they leave my hands, and also give any body thirty days to return the bus if unsatisfied. Nobody ever has, but it's OK, I'll just sell it to somebody else. you will also get a lifetime of free advice before and after you get a bus from me, I'm avaiable 7 days a week within reason, and after having dismantled 14 buses, and owning about 60,I am pretty knowledgable about their inner workings. Also got lots of good used bus parts, at the best price anywhere in the US. Ii have no overhead, just my Mazda mini truck and some tools.

I'm Alex, which is short for "Mr. Millstein." I live in the SF Bay Area, Berkeley to be exact. No I don't go to Cal, I just like the East Bay life.

I don't get to travel as often as I'd like, which is why I go all-out when I get the chance.

I first heard the term "I-5 Tribe" used at Gathering of the Tribes, a really cool conference & festival based in LA, for those not in the know. Gottribes.org if you're interested.

Anyway, people were talking about building a network of like-minded peeps on the West Coast who would stay in touch and travel to each others' cities for gatherings and such. All we needed was a web-based infrastructure, but it never got up and running... until now.

Thank you Tribe.net!!! :)

And then u hear the voice of yaga baba singing joyously - Om Namah Shivaya and at once u know u r at one with the cosmos! Doof DooF the party heads r here, lets shake a bum and look at the lovely chikitas! Ahh even lord shiva is here to show us a groove or two!

The naughty tantrik decides to make a killing in this happy party and performs a necrophagy - the act of eating a corpse..ohh every1 is so scared..

"Phat of MY LunD!" says aGh0ri, "Lund se mere!". And starts banging a dope industrial dark megamix of Prodigy's Fat of my Land album.

***PLEASE DO NOT REPOST THIS INFO ANYWHERE***

We're building this party to be the largest and craziest outdoor that we've had to date! Everyone welcome, fire dancers, tribal drummers, freaks, geeks n goblins, and YOU! As suggested by one of our fellow full moon patrons that we should try and bring out an old school dj- we were able to get in touch with Matthew Gadfather who's been spinning house since 1991. He has played at such legendary parties as A Rave Called Sharon, The Gathering, Mega Buzz, Planet Rock, Origin, Love Affair and Fusion- just to name a few. You can expect a night of wicked Acid House along with a few surprises. Older and younger partiers alike will experience a look back at the sound that helped build the san francisco club + rave scene. Hope to see you all there! :)

The rEvolution This Weekend

-- rEvolution --

A Magical Gathering
July 1st through July 4th

** Presale tickets are limited and going fast.
Don't miss this opportunity for a weekend of
forests, creeks, and dancefloor phreaks!! **

Following in the footsteps of the Magic
and Light camp-outs, rEvolution continues
a tradition of almost ten years of mountain
gatherings, as we return to a sacred
meadow in the forests of the Sierra Nevada
mountains. Of course we'll be providing
crystal-clear slammin' sound, sick visuals
and lighting, and an awesome mix of
music from family DJ's and special guests.
And of course we'll be gathering in an
incredible environment; a space of power,
with grassy meadows, wildflowers, waterfalls,
swimming holes and amazing trees, all
high in the mountains. What's far more
important is what we're asking you to bring.

In the early days of the electronic music
dance scene, parties were a wide-spread
expression of creativity and interaction.
And those creative outlets were not solely
the domain of the event crew and musicians.
We want to return to our roots, to propagate
a revival, a re-evolution so to speak, of
creativity, free expression, and participation;
by and for all. And so we are asking all
those who plan to attend to bring something
special to share with others, be that crazy
costumes, cool stuff to give away, performance
of any sort, weird trip toys, visual/tactile/
performance/fashion art, free food or drink
or whatever. Basically anything that you feel
would be an expression of yourself that will
provoke a response in others. And if you
have something spectacular to share, and
you need assistance from the rEvolution
crew, please don't hesitate to ask for help.
And now for the line-up...

-- Up-Tempo --
(House, Techno, Psytrance,
Breaks, Electro, Drum-n-Bass)

My I-5 travels usually tend to take me south of SF. What I'm really looking forward to this year is heading north and hitting a few gatherings up in Oregon, Washington and BC - which is still mostly uncharted territory for me. Arcata too, never even been there! Danny... help?

Any suggestions on some good events to attend in the Northwest this season would be appreciated! :)

oCeLoT - "vectorSelector"

Dropout Productions is thrilled to present their new, highly anticipated release, vectorSelector, the second solo psychedelic trance album from world-renowned San Francisco based artist, oCeLoT. A three-year evolution from oCeLoT's first psytrance release, Aural Sects (Ceiba Records, 2002), vectorSelector is the next step in planetary transcendence; oozing with otherworldly sounds, sublime harmonics, and powerful rhythms.

Fly through uncharted territory in the company of intricate leads and entrancing bass. From the opening moments of the lush ambient introduction, all the way up to the cruising altitude and beyond, this 10 track collection is propelled by monstrously good production, exquisite musical composition and arrangement, and the sense that the pilot really knows how to fly this airplane.

Welcome to oCeLoT airlines, enjoy your flight!

Soltek & The Dance Everywhere Association present

===========] UNIFIED VISIONS [===========
a new gathering uniting California's trance cultures

May 21 2005

SIRIUS ISNESS (Mindcontrol Records, FRA -
http://www.mindcontrolrecords.com )
* live / dj set
Max and Davina are a french couple, one of the only ones who produce
trance music. They lived for few years in San Francisco where Max were
part of “Biodegradable” (older project composed by CPU , Mekanikka, and
Max from Sirius Isness...) then, from the time they decided to make
music together, their reputation was always growing and growing, and if
some of you had already believed that Davina is not making that much in
the studio, we can tell here that you are completely wrong! She is one of
the rare female producers, and one of the most active on stage (among
both male and female!!!), and that’s also why Sirius Isness had become
one of the most respected live acts last year...

(as a personal note, they were the best live act, PERIOD. I saw in 04.
)

SHAWNODESE (Mindfunk Records)
Amsterdam, NL
In additon we are also proud to present:
Shawnodese for his return US appearance. Long noted for being one of
Europes top rated old skool dj's, Shawn, has a ripping style that
destroys dancefloors all over the world. Known for his selection of floor
killing unrealsed blasters, and world class mixing, this will be a very
powerful set

* Trance technicians *
The rest of the lineup is composed of an equal mix of South and North
Djs, as this is intended to be an event for both scenes. 2 crews, 2
scenes, 1 state, 1 party, united for our common
UNIFIED VISION

Paradigm (Mindfunk Records / Dea) - San Francisco

hi, i'm corn as in rebeca (thanks for the perfect tribe alex )... and i'll be touring the coast june through september, la through vancouver (yaaay!, will be seeing you all soon) and i'm worried about where i'll be sleeping... uh, cuddling, making dinner and all of those hospitable things that one needs as a traveller.
make a hospitable I-5 tribe? add a chapter to this one? ... just wondering.... how to connect with those that are open to housing wondering gypsies, who themselves are wondering gypsies at times... ...guess all we have to do is post a tribe alert...
did i answer my own questions? does anyone have more ideas? ...can i stay at your place?
